I wasn’t feeling especially random yesterday but good news! The random has returned but on a Tuesday. Here’s your dose of random for this week which is the week before Payton turns 15 and I cry and vomit.
- Speaking of vomit, Blake had a stomach virus on Sunday which does what it always has with him: lasted 4 hours, then he took a nap and woke up ready to eat a steak. The rest of us? When we get one, it’s 24 hours and then we have to work back gradually and we whine and complain the whole time.
- We like Blake when he’s sick. He’s like a toned down, sweeter version of himself. Very calm, very easy, no complaining. It’s like a glimpse into his future when the little boy crazy wears off. (It does wear off, right? Right?!)
- I’m trying to figure out what to do about Blake’s difficulties. He’s impossible in restaurants, around other people and when we’re away from home. IMPOSSIBLE. (It should be noted that he’s mostly fine at home and school.) Our tactic so far has been to just keep trying but we get so mad and frustrated. It’s clearly not his thing. In related news, we’re sending him to hourly child care this Saturday night so we can take Payton out for a birthday dinner in peace.
- I woke up in a panic this week thinking about all the things *I* did at 15 and now my baby girl is going to be that age?
- When Payton hears that families have lots of kids (say, 3), she automatically says “ewww.” I tell her not to say that (acceptance of everybody and all of that) but inside, I die laughing.
- Right now, my iPhone is so stupid that it will not: ring, hold a charge for more than a very short time, notify me of voicemails until 24 hours later or tell me when the charge is low. It’s a company-paid phone but I’m jonesing for an Android on my personal account.
- Teen Mom is one of my favoritest shows ever. It’s not a guilty pleasure so don’t go comparing it to your Bachelor and Jersey Shore shit. That show doesn’t candy coat what it’s like to be a teen mom and I LOVE IT for that.
- Half my blog traffic comes from 1 post. Can you guess which one?

I love snarky Shannon.
I’ve heard of other moms who sigh with relief when their kids get sick due to them being calmer. I always think that’s hilarious.
So many people have IPhone issues……I hear about them all the time!

LOVE Teen Mom and think they need to show that shit to high schoolers. Like for a grade or something.
If you figure out what to do about Blake, please let me know. I have two crazy kids over here and I am drinking way too much.

Hmmm…that last one has me stumped. Do tell!
Families with more than 3+ kids don’t make me say “ew” but the one pictured above makes me SICK. The saddest part? They’re completely brainwashed into thinking it’s normal and acceptable and good for them. Disgusting. The network could at least make them work on the wardrobe and hair department. Okay. Enough of that.
Payton 15?! I remember what I did at 15, too. It won’t make you vomit or cry any less.
I have a fabulous G1 by Tmobile. It’s a great phone except the screen has been cracked for 14 months. But it still works and I refuse to fix it.
So you’re going to tell which post has the most traffic, right?

The post that gets you the most traffic makes me want to vomit. I haven’t run in so long that I would probably collapse at the 1/2 mile marker…if I make to there.

I somehow missed this post, and I was showing someone your site at work today and saw your caption on the photo and just about died. Then reading it was actually Payton’s comment makes me wonder if being funny is just genetic.

Blake is actually the funniest person in our house but Payton has her moments. Blake recently indulged me in a conversation where we debated what to do about his jeans being too short. The choices were buying new jeans or cutting his legs off a couple of inches. He ultimately decided that for cost-savings, cutting his legs off made the most sense despite the inevitable bloody mess.
