4 new blogs setup – wanna see ‘em?

So, Internet, I’ve been really busy ever since announcing that I was doing WordPress setups for free working on these four blogs. Let’s take a look at them.

1. Kami’s blog

Old blog: running on iWeb, a.k.a. the single worst product available from Apple
New blog: WordPress blog running Thesis

Friends, this is an item I can officially check off my Bucket List. Kami’s old blog was so hard to navigate and it just wasn’t up to Kami standards. Migrating from iWeb to WordPress wasn’t easy since iWeb doesn’t follow the same file structures as every other blogging platform. I installed Thesis, Kami provided the graphics and I tweaked the code to do some of the things she wanted. Now her pretty photos will finally have a proper stage!

2. Marcy’s blog

Old blog: Blogger
New blog: WordPress blog running the Dark Flower theme

Marcy had been spending a lot of time tweaking her Blogger blog and then decided to take the plunge into WordPress. She’s been able to edit the files to customize it but will probably never really stop tweaking because that’s just how she rolls.

3. Courtney’s blog

Old blog: Blogger
New blog: WordPress running Thesis

Oh, are you in for a treat with this one. Courtney originally had me setup a free theme for her but what she really wanted was something as customized as mine. She was a big fan of my blog when I redesigned it so she had me redesign her blog in a similarly whimsical way but with items that are very Courtney-like. I think it turned out insanely fun.

4. Karen’s blog

Old blog: WordPress running a free theme
New blog: WordPress running Thesis

Karen runs a great blog but was doing it using a free theme that didn’t live up to the standards of her writing. Her aesthetic is very minimalistic and I think the results turned out well.  I hope it will set her up well for her future blog plans.

Yeah, that’s how I roll…never stop tweaking. :)

Loved seeing the redesigns. Thanks so fun for putting this offer out there. I know how much time it takes and appreciate you taking the time for others. Such a giver.

So glad! One thing I want to do on your blog though is make your header clickable so people can click on it to always get back to your home page.

Wow! these sites look great. I noticed you are using Thesis on some of them. I love that theme too. So much variety is possible.

I used Thesis on 3 out of the 4 and totally love it. I’ve noticed you’ve been doing some tweaking to yours too. Love the bright green.

GREAT job Shannon! You are a natural and I think have found your niche :-) I’ll be in touch shortly about our student’s blog! Keep up the great work, you continue to be an inspiration!

Such a nice thing to say, Ed. When you say “you’ve found your niche,” you said something I haven’t been willing to. I work with talented designers and hesitate to call myself that but I do love working on all aspects of blogs so I’m going to have to agree with you I think.

Why don’t my comments show up when I leave them from my iTouch?! Weird. Last night I said:
This might be the only time I’ll ever get to say these two words again: DO ME!!!!!!

Seriously, those are fab. I hate to admit that I definitely underestimated your mad skillz.

When you use your iTouch, does the iTouch/iPhone version of my site appear? I think I’ve commented from that before. Sucks that yours didn’t go through.

I’d love to “do you” but you’ll have to submit that form thingie that can be found here so I know WTF you want. You should be warned that I’m only setting them up for free. Anything designy is extra.

iIs it still possible to get some help with my blog site? Not being a techie and a visual
person my site is like having a thousand piece puzzle and no picture to look at. Right
now it overwhelmes me and frustrates me.

thanks, John Wright
