The adult bevarege induced videos are the way to go.

Congrats on the 2.5 pounds. Really awesome.

And Blake, quite the creative one. Love the cards. I am sure they will be a big a hit.

I do enjoy the informational articles, but don’t lose your personality when you type them out. That is one tidbit of information that I got from you. When you post, show your personality…the longer articles that you had on Remarkably Clever kind of lost that. Not that I didn’t enjoy reading them, but the posts that reflect ‘you’ are just more fun to read. The informational stuff is an extra added bonus. God knows I am not the one to dish out blogging advice as you are way more successful at it than me. I just remember the things you told me! (and will eventually get around to applying all of them…baby steps for me)

By the way, you replaced “umm” with “that’s that”. I think it’s funny.

It’s true. I did do that. Weird.

I look forward to a combo of Shannon funny and Shannon serious article. It will be a nice blend, however, I must admit I will miss not having a new blog everyday. I check your site often and am always quite entertained and informed.

You mentioned by hatred of running and appreciation for those who don’t make it sound better than it is. Love it!

Take care!

I will still be blogging quite a bit but I’m glad that you’re looking forward to a blend. That’s where I really need to be to get where I want to go.

“Brought to you by sangria”… brilliant!

Congrats on the weight loss. I think 3x a week posting schedule is a good idea… I love your remarkably clever longer-style articles. They seem like they have more appeal to people that don’t already “know” you as well. But don’t skimp on the funny, strange, random Shannon articles, that we are addicted to…

Shannon, great video post this week, congrats on staying on course towards your weight loss! I think your idea of sharing video of you in bathing suit will keep you motivated (I know it would keep me focused if I made that same promise!)

I love the thought of you going back to your old “Remarkably Clever” format. As Karen said above, it’s why I started reading your blog in the first place too! (And don’t shy away from Photoshop stuff, I’d love tutorials on anything like that or WP Thesis related!)

Looking forward to “talking” to you this week!

Thanks, Ed. If I do graphics tutorials, it will be using Photoshop Elements which is like Photoshop Lite so anything you can do in PSE can also be done in Photoshop but the software is around $150 compared to Photoshop’s crazy high price tag.

I need to start taking notes while I watch your video so that I can remember all the things I want to comment on. Here’s what I remember, ‘cuz I’m not gonna go back and watch it again. :)

Congrats on the weight loss! I think your plan to get faster rather than run longer is a good one. Doing some intervals here and there is a good way to “mix it up” so that your body doesn’t get stagnant with the weight loss. Be careful, though that you don’t do to much to quickly and get hurt.

I know not everyone loves running. And I will say that I *do* love running. However, I can’t say that it isn’t hard… or that there aren’t days (many days!) that I don’t want to get out and run but do. I always, always, always feel better after I’ve gotten out there. I think I’ve read that it takes 6 weeks to become addicted to a form of exercise. I can definitely say that I am. Gosh, I get so irritable if I don’t get my work outs in. I am getting better at that though!

Love Blake’s Valentines. Super cool.

And that’s about the capacity my brain had on this Sunday night at 11:30 to remember all the comments I intended to make whilst watching your video. :)

Then my 6 weeks comment sort of holds up because it takes me about that long to feel comfortable.

So happy about the weight loss. If it ever stops snowing here, I’m going to try again on the Couch to 5K program!

Blake’s valentines are awesome.

Anxious for the travel article!

You know, the weather is such a huge factor. When I first did C25K, I started it in the spring which is perfect for running. I’m feeling lucky that Texas has nice weather off and on this time of year though lately my runs have been via treadmill due to the cold rainy weather.

Once you get to running 5 miles. A half marathon does not look so daunting. And you will get that runners high. Like I have told you, I was NEVER EVER a runner until I did couch potato and was shocked when I ran my first 5k in 26 minutes!
It is the one exercise that my body really responds the best to.

Blake is such the creative little fellow.

And your hair stirs a bit of jealousy in me. And I don’t get jealous.

Ha. I can always count on you for a hair comment. I’ve got my parents to thank (who both have the same hair that I do) and Aveda products for that.

I ran a half-marathon in 2008 which is what that Couch to Half Marathon post is about. I just don’t want to run 13 miles again. 13 seems doable but too much work for me. 26 seems impossible.

Got it. I didn’t realize you had run a half. Since I am pseudo-training for one, any tips would be awesome. I have found that it is really 90% mental. Your mind thinks you should stop but when you really listen to your body, you can just keep going. I’m up to 5 miles, kind of comfortably. 3 is easy but after 3 I have to really force myself.

Aveda products are terrible for my hair. But they smell so good.

And I don’t like driving 26 miles, much less running. Not natural. Will never ever do a full.

Okay, I ran 1.5 miles on Thursday for the 1st time in over 2 years. And it wasn’t bad at all. I was so surprised! I may get back into this after all.
Congrats on your weight loss!!! Very good.

Homemade Valentines by Blake = Darling. Love that he did those by himself.

I’m in the mood for sangria now.

Coco beat me to it! Your hair looks FABULOUS. Seriously. Lovin it.
Also? No one mentioned the swimsuit situation? ARE YOU CRAZY?! I couldn’t do that. Although, I could not and would not post about my weight either. Yous crazy. And I like it.
I’m so proud of you for the weight loss! Running sucks ASS. Once I get back into it I like it better, but the first month or so is brutal. I run on busy streets for the first month. It motivates me to keep running because people are watching. After that I stick to parks and neighborhoods.
Love the end and beginning of your video posts. How do you do that? I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own. It’s part of that “new” Sass thing I talked about. Still not telling.
