I believe that serious bloggers should use WordPress for their blog because it’s the most professional blogging platform that exists right now. It’s not, however, the easiest for non-technical types. Import old blog entries into new WordPress blog

This includes exporting your entries from your old blog and importing them into your WordPress blog. Not everything will look exactly the same as it did before (when I transferred from Blogger to WordPress, for instance, the images that I had uploaded to Blogger didn’t show up the same) so you may need to do some tweaking after the import but I can save you a lot of time by loading them.

I will log in to your HostGator account and install WordPress, install your theme and setup some plug-ins that should be standard on all WordPress blogs. The plug-ins include Akismet (for blocking spam comments), All in One SEO Pack (for optimizing your blog for search engines), Google XML Sitemaps (to make it easier for Google to index your site) and Broken Link Checker (to notify you if links on your blog are no longer working).
